Agar Agar

I saw this beautiful mold and thought of the various ways I could use it for bite sized cakes and agar agar jellies and decided that it was worth the investment.  It is made of good quality heavy non-stick aluminium.

First tryout was for agar agar.

It turned out so beautifully, exactly as I had envisioned it would.  I did spray the tray lightly with oil and had no problems turning out the jellies (first running a wooden tooth pick around the jelly edges to loosen it.)

The brown ones are gula melaka and coconut; the green ones are pandan and coconut.

This is so stunning and beautiful for a party, don't you think?
